Invitations have been shared with identified participants through Outlook.

Training windows for Bruin Financial Aid Release 1 occur between October 14–18 and November 13–15.

Only financial aid administrator leaders and staff identified by the FACET Program are required to participate in Release 1 training.

The FACET Program team has worked with FAS and professional/grad school financial aid leaders to directly assign participants into training sessions based on the Release 1 training schedule and accommodating their preferences and availability to the extent possible.

Training consists primarily of hands-on, in-person, instructor-led training (ILT) sessions, with some virtual instructor-led training (vILT) sessions. Participants will be introduced to system core concepts and navigation. Reference guides are also being developed.

There are only a limited number of training sessions and seats available, so training invitations should not be forwarded to colleagues. If you believe a particular employee should be included in training, please email facet@it.ucla.edu. The FACET Program will review all requests, determine appropriate next steps, and communicate back to the requestor.

If you are not able to attend the session(s) you are signed up for, please notify the FACET program team immediately at facet@it.ucla.edu. There are only a limited number of training sessions and seats available, and with advance notice we can work with you to ensure that you have the opportunity to receive the training that you need.

The FACET Program team intends to record certain training sessions to be made available for future playback. However, listening to a recording of a training session by itself does not qualify an individual for completing the requisite training.

Training consists primarily of hands-on, in-person, instructor-led training (ILT) sessions, with some virtual instructor-led training (vILT) sessions. The training is designed for an in-person audience and will be most impactful to trainees if they are able to be on-site with the trainers and their colleagues. If you are unable to attend in person, please contact us at facet@it.ucla.edu so that we may work with you and your manager to find an appropriate solution.

In-person, Instructor-led Training (ILT) sessions will be located in Wilshire Center, 10th Floor. More details specific to the location and logistics will be provided during the week preceding training sessions.

Yes, the training sessions will be catered. Please ensure that you have accepted your training invite and selected 'send response now' to ensure that we have the correct number of attendees for each session.

Yes, you will need to bring your UCLA laptop with you to training so that you may experience training through your own device.

Please notify us at facet@it.ucla.edu if you do not have a laptop. The FACET Program is currently investigating options for trainees that have not been issued a UCLA laptop. We will share further details with those individuals in due course.
